Situated on the shore of Lake Superior and just a short walk up the dock of the Ashland Marina, is the Best Western, The Hotel Chequamegon. Inside you’ll find our restaurant, the Chequamegon Grill. All are welcome, you do not need to be a guest of the hotel to dine here. The atmosphere ranges from casual to fine dining. Seating inside and out on beautiful large decks overlooking the lake. Enjoy fresh, local fare, thoughtfully created to fit the setting, the season, and convince you to visit again, and again.

Major renovations were made to the entire restaurant space and kitchen area. Walls were torn down and new spaces were designed to bring in more light and show off the beautiful view of Lake Superior.

Ashland Marina

We’re just a short walk up from the marina!

Whether you’re sailing from Bayfield, fishing the bay, or circumnavigating Lake Superior on a paddleboard, tie up your rig and stop in for a cold drink and a great meal!

The Ashland Marina is located at the foot of Ellis Avenue North on Lake Superior’s Chequamegon Bay. Lake Superior is known for its fresh water and the Ashland Marina reflects this clean tradition. Their 121 slip marina includes washrooms with showers, fuel and pumpout, water, electricity, the marina office and ship store, and a dock attendant. All amenities are conveniently located next to the piers. 

Allow the Ashland Marina to be your starting point to sail thousands of square miles of easily navigated water. Enjoy breathtaking views of sunsets on tree lined shores. Swim in crystal clear fresh water. Discover abundant fish and wildlife.
